Technip Energies makes changes to executive team

Paris-based LNG engineer Technip Energies has made changes to its executive team.

Technip Energies said in a statement that Naïla Giovanni has been appointed to the newly created position of chief digital and information officer (CDIO), to accelerate its digital transformation.

Based in Paris, she joins the executive committee.

Moreover, Technip Energies also announced the appointment of Marco Villa, previously chief operating officer, to the new position of chief business officer within the executive committee.

The role will provide commercial and project execution leadership across all businesses, in both traditional and new markets, the company said.

Technip Energies also appointed Loïc Chapuis as chief operating officer, joining the executive committee.

Drawing on more than 15 years with Technip Energies, Loïc Chapuis will oversee upholding operational excellence, developing talents, and leading the evolution of the company’s operating model and ways of working.

Following these appointments, the executive committee is comprised of 11 members and led by CEO Arnaud Pieton.

Pieton said in November last year that Technip Energies is “well positioned” to selectively secure “important” LNG contracts in the coming 12-24 months.

In May 2023, Technip Energies and and Consolidated Contractors Company won the NFS LNG contract from QatarEnergy worth about $10 billion to build two “mega” LNG trains with a capacity of 8 Mtpa each.

Technip and Chiyoda previously won the EPC award for QatarEnergy’s North Field East project which includes building four trains with a capacity of 8 Mtpa in the Ras Laffan complex.
