1) Chevron Australia, a unit of US energy giant Chevron, is working to resume full production from its Gorgon LNG terminal in Western Australia following a “mechanical fault” which is affecting one LNG production train.

2) US LNG player New Fortress Energy said that “a minor technical issue” which took place last week on one of its rigs as part of the Altamira LNG project will not affect the launch of production.

3) US LNG exporter Venture Global LNG expects to start LNG production at its Plaquemines LNG export plant in Louisiana in mid-2024.

5) State-owned LNG giant QatarEnergy has signed a major shipbuilding deal worth $6 billion with China State Shipbuilding Corp for the construction of 18 271,000-cbm LNG carriers. The vessels will be built by CSSC’s Hudong-Zhonghua.
