South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries revealed Thursday it won an order to build four LNG-powered very large crude oil carriers from an unidentified owner.

The order from an Oceania-based firm for the VLCCs has a price tag of 458.7 billion won ($414 million), Samsung Heavy said in a stock exchange announcement.

Moreover, the Korean yard said it would deliver the ships by June 2023, but it did not reveal any further info.

In addition, the new contract comes on the back of the recent order from Hong Kong-based Seaspan for LNG-powered ultra-large container vessels.

These vessels will serve Israel’s Zim under a 12-year charter.
