1) In May 2024, US construction company Zachry filed for bankruptcy, initiating a structured exit from the Golden Pass LNG export project in Texas due to “financial challenges” related to the construction of the facility owned by QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil.

2) In June 2024, the US FERC gave the green light to Venture Global LNG for its proposed CP2 LNG project in Louisiana.

3) US LNG exporter Sempra and compatriot Bechtel are making progress with construction work on the first phase of the Port Arthur LNG export project in Texas.
