US boosts weekly LNG exports, Henry Hub climbs as well

The US exported seventeen LNG cargoes in the week ending March 3 while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 9.8 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants increased some 2.39 Bcf/d while shipments increased by three, according to EIA’s weekly natural gas report.

In addition, LNG pipeline receipts reached their highest levels since the week of February 10, the agency said.

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $2.75/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.84/MMBtu two days ago.

Looking at the weekly shipments, six US terminals dispatched the seventeen cargoes during the week of February 25-March 3. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 62 Bcf.

This compares to fourteen cargoes with the vessels’ capacity of 50 Bcf in the week before.

Furthermore, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant sent five shipments in the week under review while its Corpus Christi plant dispatched three cargoes.

Cameron and Freeport shipped three cargoes, each, while Cove Point sent two shipments and Elba Island dispatched one cargo.
