EIA said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, that the total capacity of these 30 LNG vessels is 114 Bcf.
This compares to 29 shipments and 110 Bcf in the week ending February 5.
Natural gas deliveries up
According to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights, average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals increased 0.5 Bcf/d from last week to 15.7 Bcf/d.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana increased by 3.3 percent (0.3 Bcf/d) to 9.8 Bcf/d, while natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Texas increased by 6.2 percent (0.3 Bcf/d) to 4.7 Bcf/d.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals outside the Gulf Coast decreased by 2.8 percent (less than 0.1 Bcf/d) to 1.2 Bcf/d this week.
During the week under review, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped six LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent five shipments.
Moreover, the Freeport LNG terminal and Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal each shipped five cargoes this week.
Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu Pass shipped three cargoes, and its Plaquemines LNG terminal shipped two shipments.
In addition, the Cove Point facility sent three shipments and the Elba Island facility shipped one cargo during the week under review.
Henry Hub climbs
EIA said that the Henry Hub spot price rose 72 cents from $3.22 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $3.94/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The price of the March 2025 NYMEX contract increased 21 cents, from $3.360/MMBtu last Wednesday to $3.565/MMBtu this Wednesday.
Also, the price of the 12-month strip averaging March 2025 through February 2026 futures contracts rose 17 cents to $4.075/MMBtu.
TTF averaged $17.10/MMBtu
The agency said that international natural gas futures increased this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia increased 37 cents to a weekly average of $14.77/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Title Transfer Facility (TTF) in the Netherlands increased $1.02/MMBtu to a weekly average of $17.10/MMBtu.
In the same week last year (week ending February 14, 2024), the prices were $9.42/MMBtu in East Asia and $8.26/MMBtu at TTF, EIA said.
