GTT makes leadership changes

French LNG containment giant GTT has made changes to its leadership team.

GTT announced on Monday that it had created a group transformation division, entrusted to Jean-Baptiste Boutillier, and appointed Thierry Valot as group innovation vice president.

Both are members of GTT’s executive committee.

As group transformation VP, Boutillier will be responsible for leading the group’s “key transformation projects, optimizing processes, and working methods, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration between departments.”

On the other hand, Valot will ensure that technological developments align with market needs and that GTT “stays at the cutting edge of technological innovation, thereby contributing to the group’s growth.”

Philippe Berterottière, chairman and CEO of GTT said these initiatives “reflect our commitment to combining transformation and innovation to anticipate the challenges of our industry and reinforce our technological leadership.”

Berterottière is currently interim CEO of GTT while the company searches for a new CEO following the recent departure of Jean-Baptiste Choimet.

GTT received orders for 72 LNG carriers in 2024, while its revenues rose 50 percent to 641.4 million euros ($672 million) compared to 2023.

As of December 31, 2024, GTT’s order book, excluding LNG as fuel, stood at 332 units.

This includes 306 LNG carriers, 16 ethane carriers, three FSRUs, two FLNGs, and also five onshore storage tanks.
