US engineering firm NV5 Global said it has won a $23 million LNG vaporization replacement contract from a “major Midwest utility.”
Under the deal, the firm said it would provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the design and installation of modern vaporization equipment at the utility’s LNG facility.
This is in order to increase the efficiency and capacity of the plant, it said.
The new vaporization equipment will increase the facility’s output capacity by about 150% to support increased natural gas demand during periods of peak usage.
NV5 says the project would last about 20 months and expects to complete the works in November 2022.
