US weekly LNG exports drop

The US exported eighteen LNG cargoes in the week ending March 17, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 11.1 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants increased some 0.45 Bcf/d but shipments dropped by four, EIA’s weekly natural gas report shows.

As per the Henry Hub spot price, it fell from $2.60/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.51/MMBtu two days ago after reaching a weekly low of $2.50/MMBtu on Tuesday, the agency said.

Looking at the weekly shipments, five US terminals dispatched the eighteen cargoes during the week of March 11-March 17. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 67 Bcf.

This compares to twenty-two cargoes with the vessels’ capacity of 80 Bcf in the week before.

In addition, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched seven shipments in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent two cargoes.

Freeport shipped four cargoes, Cameron three, while Elba Island dispatched two cargoes.
