Croatia’s Brodosplit to build LNG-powered residential ship for Storylines

US firm Storylines said on Wednesday it selected Croatia’s Brodosplit, part of DIV Group, to build its first LNG-powered residential ship.

Storylines says steel cutting would take place later this year and it expects to take delivery of the ship in 2024.

“The ship features fully furnished residences ranging from 237 sq. ft. to 2411 sq. ft., priced from $300,000 to more than $8 million for a premium two-level penthouse suite,” the Miami-based firm said.

Owners and invited guests would have the opportunity to “live a sustainable life of luxury and freedom while at sea,” it said.

Positioned as the “greenest” ship in the market, Storylines MV Narrative utilizes LNG fuel along with reusable energy technologies and energy storage but also recovery systems, according to Storylines.

The ship also includes a waterfront marina, microbrewery, art studio, and hydroponic gardens, the firm said.
