US weekly LNG exports rise to 24 cargoes

The US exported twenty-four LNG cargoes in the week ending March 31, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 11.6 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants were flat as shipments rose by five, EIA’s weekly natural gas report shows.

As per the Henry Hub spot price, it moved only slightly throughout the report week, rising from $2.45/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.49/MMBtu two days ago after reaching a high of $2.51/MMBtu on Monday, the agency said.

Looking at the weekly shipments, five US terminals dispatched the twenty-four cargoes during the week of March 25-March 31. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 87 Bcf.

This compares to nineteen cargoes with the vessels’ capacity of 71 Bcf in the week before.

In addition, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched eight shipments in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent five cargoes.

Freeport shipped six cargoes, Cameron three, while Cove Point dispatched two shipments.
