Fourth LNG cargo lands at Croatian FSRU

Croatian FSRU has received its fourth commercial LNG cargo at the Krk facility in the northern Adriatic Sea.

The 173,400-cbm Britsh Contributor, owned by BP, arrived at the terminal on April 9 and should leave the island of Krk on Monday, state-owned terminal operator LNG Croatia said in a statement.

As previously reported by LNG Prime, the vessel loaded the cargo last month at the Freeport terminal in Texas.

Moreover, this marked the third US shipment to land at the FSRU which started commercial operations on January 1. Two cargoes came from Freeport, one from Cove Point, and one shipment arrived from Nigeria’s Bonny LNG terminal.

Hungary’s MFGK, trading firm MET but also Qatar’s PowerGlobe have booked all of the volumes at the Krk facility for the next three years.

Croatia’s first and only LNG terminal has the capacity to send up to 2.6 bcm per year of natural gas into the national grid.
