India’s largest gas utility GAIL may reduce gas supplies to its downstream customers after it received a force majeure notice from the country’s largest LNG importer Petronet LNG.

French energy giant TotalEnergies said on Monday that Papua LNG has achieved "major" contractual and commercial milestones, marking "decisive" steps towards a final investment decision. These include completing the EPC tendering process and transferring Papua LNG operatorship to US energy giant ExxonMobil, operator of the PNG LNG project.
Italian energy firm Edison, a unit of EDF, said it had received a new force majeure notification from state-owned LNG giant QatarEnergy, affecting supplies scheduled for delivery at the Adriatic LNG terminal in Italy until early November.
India’s largest liquefied natural gas importer, Petronet LNG, has received the 4,000th LNG shipment at its Dahej import terminal in western Gujarat state.
