Equinor extends charter for Dynagas LNG carrier

Athens-based Dynagas LNG Partners said Wednesday that Norwegian energy firm Equinor would continue to use the LNG carrier Arctic Aurora as part of a new charter deal.

The charter period for the 2013-built 155,000-cbm vessel will last about two years, according to the LNG shipping firm.

In addition, Dynagas expects the annual gross revenues from the charter agreement to reach about $21.5 million.

Under the new deal, Equinor will continue to use Arctic Aurora from September 2021, after the current charter deal expires.

This means there will be no lapse of time between the current and the new time charter, Dynagas said.

The ice-class vessel has been working for Equinor since its delivery in 2013.
