1) State-owned LNG giant QatarEnergy confirmed on Wednesday that its facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City have been damaged following missile attacks. Following the first attack, which damaged the Pearl GTL facility, QatarEnergy said early on Thursday that several of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities were targeted by missile attacks.
2) Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture owned by energy giants QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has received another approval from the US FERC as it nears the launch of the first liquefaction train at its facility in Texas.
3) US LNG exporter Venture Global has taken a final investment decision (FID) on the second phase of its CP2 LNG project in Louisiana. The firm also closed an $8.6 billion project financing for the second phase.
4) Argent LNG has submitted an application to the US DOE seeking long-term authorization to export LNG to both FTA and non-FTA countries from the planned LNG export terminal in Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
