TT-Line announced the order for a second “Green Ship 2.0” on Friday.
The company did not reveal the contract price.
This vessel follows an order the company placed in December 2025 at the same Chinese yard.
Building on the success of TT-Line’s LNG-powered ferries Nils Holgersson and Peter Pan, which were delivered in 2022 and 2023, this new vessel will also feature an LNG-hybrid propulsion system.
It also features battery energy storage between 5.5 MWh and 10 MWh and is further expandable with additional battery rooms and a future-ready electrical architecture designed for further electrification.
The project is part of TT-Line’s long-standing cooperation with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard, which began in 2018.
With a freight capacity of 5,400 lane meters per vessel, the new ships will enable TT-Lines to meet the growing demand for “efficient and reliable” logistics services between Sweden, Germany, Poland, and Lithuania, the company said.
