Galileo develops new smart LNG filling station

Argentina-based Galileo Technologies has unveiled the latest version of its smart station for fueling of LNG and CNG vehicles.

The firm said in a statement it designed the new Galileo Patagonia station to satisfy the needs of customers looking to fuel their vehicles with LNG and liquefied-to-compressed natural gas in logistic centers but also gas stations.

Thanks to its plug-and-play configuration which features an LNG tank, customers only need a concrete pad in order to install it and start dispensing, Galileo said.

“This solution accelerates the expansion of Blue Corridors dedicated to all kinds of natural gas vehicles (NGVs),” the firm said.

According to Galileo, the station, which includes a prepaid system terminal, can provide up to 350 kg of LNG in less than 6 minutes to a truck.

“Depending on the tank capacity and the truck operating range, a single LNG refueling at a flow rate of 150 liters (60 kg) per minute can guarantee a 700 to 1700 km journey,” the firm said.
