Greece-based shipping firm Alpha Gas has taken delivery of its fourth LNG carrier in South Korea.
Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering delivered the 173,400-cbm Energy Integrity on May 14, Alpha Gas said in a statement.
LNG Prime reported on this delivery two weeks ago following the completion of gas trials.
This is the third new LNG carrier to join Alpha Gas fleet since the delivery of Energy Pacific in September 2020 and Energy Endeavour in January this year.
Alpha Gas, controlled by Anna Angelicoussis, has in total four sister vessels on order at DSME and expects to take delivery of the remaining LNG newbuild by the second quarter of this year.
All of these vessels feature MAN B&W ME-GI engines, a reliquefication system, and GTT’s NO96 cargo containment system.
Besides these newbuilds, the Greek firm owns the 2015-built 159,881-cbm Energy Atlantic that mainly ships LNG from the US.
