US weekly LNG exports remain flat

The US exported 21 LNG shipments in the week ending May 19, the same as in the week before.

However, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants dropped 0.96 Bcf/d to an average of 10.3 Bcf/d when compared to the last week, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Natural gas deliveries were lower than last week because of planned maintenance, which is commonly done in May, and severe weather-related outages, EIA said.

As per the Henry Hub spot price, it slightly fell from $2.90/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.88/MMBtu two days ago.

Looking at the weekly shipments, six US terminals dispatched the 21 cargoes during the week of May 13-May 19. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 75 Bcf.

In addition, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched six shipments in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.

Freeport and Cameron also shipped four cargoes, each, while Cove Point dispatched two shipments. Elba Island sent one shipment as well.
