US weekly LNG exports up

The US exported 18 LNG shipments in the week ending June 16, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 9.4 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants increased slightly by 0.08 Bcf/d as shipments increased by one, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Five US terminals dispatched the 18 cargoes during the week of June 10-June 16. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 65 Bcf.

This compares to 61 Bcf in the week before and 17 shipments.

Furthermore, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched four cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant also sent four cargoes.

Freeport also shipped four cargoes as three shipments each departed from the Cameron facility and Cove Point.

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $3.10 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $3.17/MMBtu two days ago, the agency said.
