US weekly LNG exports drop to 20 cargoes

The US exported 20 LNG shipments in the week ending July 7, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 10.9 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants decreased by 0.11 Bcf/d as shipments dropped by one, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Five US terminals dispatched the 20 cargoes during the week of July 1-7. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 75 Bcf.

This compares to 76 Bcf in the week before and 21 shipments.

In addition, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched six cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.

Freeport and Cameron shipped four cargoes, each, as two shipments departed from the Cove Point facility.

The Henry Hub spot price fell from $3.72 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $3.60/MMBtu two days ago, the agency said.
