US weekly LNG exports flat

The US exported 20 LNG shipments in the week ending July 14, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 10.8 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants decreased by 0.18 Bcf/d as shipments remained flat, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Six US terminals dispatched the 20 cargoes during the week of July 8-14. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 71 Bcf.

This compares to 75 Bcf in the week before and 20 shipments.

In addition, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched seven cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.

Freeport also shipped four cargoes while Cameron sent three shipments. Cove Point and Elba Island each exported one cargo.

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $3.60 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $3.75/MMBtu two days ago, the agency said.
