GasLog Partners pens new charter deal with TotalEnergies

LNG shipper GasLog Partners said it has signed a new time charter agreement with French energy giant TotalEnergies.

Under the deal, the NYSE-listed limited partnership controlled by Greece’s GasLog will recharter the 2013-built 155,000-cbm GasLog Seattle to the Paris-based firm.

Also, the duo signed the deal in July, GasLog Partners said in its second-quarter report on Tuesday.

Moreover, GasLog Partners said TotalEnergies has contracted the TFDE vessel for a period of up to 12 months, but it did not reveal any additional information.

As of July 23, Clarksons assessed headline spot rates for TFDE LNG carriers at $56,000 per day.

The new charter follows a contract with TotalEnergies in June. Under that deal, GasLog has chartered the 2013-built TFDE carrier GasLog Sydney to TotalEnergies for a period of one year as well.

In addition, the LNG shipping firm also recently signed charter deals with Shell and Cheniere.

The partnership’s fleet consists of 15 LNG carriers with an average carrying capacity of about 158,000 cbm.
