US weekly LNG exports drop to 19 cargoes

The US exported 19 LNG shipments in the week ending July 28, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 10.7 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants rose by 0.31 Bcf/d as shipments dropped by two, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Five US terminals dispatched the 19 cargoes during the week of July 22-July 28. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 70 Bcf.

This compares to 76 Bcf in the week before and 21 shipments.

Furthermore, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched seven cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.

Freeport and Cameron shipped three cargoes, each, as two shipments departed from the Cove Point facility.

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $3.91/MMBtu last Wednesday to $4.05/MMBtu two days ago, the agency said.
