US boosts weekly LNG exports to 21 cargoes

The US exported 21 LNG shipments in the week ending August 4, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 10.5 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants dropped by 0.2 Bcf/d as shipments rose by two, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Five US terminals dispatched the 21 cargoes during the week of July 29-August 4. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 77 Bcf.

This compares to 70 Bcf in the week before and 19 shipments.

Furthermore, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched seven cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.

Freeport shipped five cargoes and Cameron sent four cargoes, as one shipment departed from the Cove Point facility.

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $4.05/MMBtu last Wednesday to $4.12/MMBtu two days ago, the agency said.
