US LNG exports remain flat

The US exported 21 LNG shipments in the week ending August 11, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 9.9 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants dropped by 0.6 Bcf/d as shipments remained flat, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.

Six US terminals dispatched the 21 cargoes during the week of August 5-11. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 77 Bcf.

This compares to 77 Bcf in the week before and 21 shipments.

Also, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched six cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.

Freeport shipped five cargoes and Cameron sent three cargoes, as two shipments departed from the Cove Point facility. Elba Island also exported one LNG shipment.

The Henry Hub spot price dropped from $4.12/MMBtu last Wednesday to $4.07/MMBtu two days ago, the agency said.
