Australian engineering firm Monadelphous said it has won a new contract from compatriot Origin Energy to work on the Australia Pacific LNG export project.
Under the four-year deal, Monadelphous’ fabrication business, SinoStruct, would supply wellsite equipment to Origin, which holds a 37.5 percent stake in the APLNG project, the firm said in a statement on Tuesday.
Moreover, the packaged equipment helps separate, meter and control coal seam gas for the Australia Pacific LNG plant located in Gladstone, Queensland.
SinoStruct has been supplying packaged and modularised equipment to Origin since 2015, according to Monadelphous.
In addition to this APLNG contract, Monadealphous revealed other new construction and maintenance contracts in the resources sector totaling about A$200 million ($146.1 million).
Origin operates APLNG’s gas fields, upstream production and pipeline system, while ConocoPhillips operates the 9 mtpa LNG export facility on Curtis Island and the export sales business.
