GTT inks LNG cooperation deal with CCS

French LNG containment firm GTT said it has joined forces with China Classification Society (CCS) to cooperate in several areas in the liquefied natural gas industry.

The memorandum relates to a technical cooperation for the application of GTT membrane technology, the Paris-based firm said in a statement.

In the framework of this agreement, the duo will cooperate on the design of China’s LNG inland waterway transportation as well as small to large LNG carriers.

Moreover, the deal includes LNG-fueled vessels and onshore storage tanks, GTT said.

Also, CCS would perform in-depth technical analysis, including technical plan approval of the cargo containment system and risk assessment, the statement said.
