The US exported 20 LNG shipments in the week ending September 1, while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants averaged 10.5 billion cubic feet.
Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants were flat as shipments increased by two, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.
Six US terminals exported the 20 cargoes during the week of August 26-September 1. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 73 Bcf.
This compares to 67 Bcf in the week before and 18 shipments.
Also, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant dispatched six cargoes in the week under review, while its Corpus Christi plant sent four cargoes.
Freeport also dispatched four cargoes and Cameron sent three shipments, as two cargoes departed from the Cove Point facility. The Elba Island plant also exported one shipment.
Supply disruption caused by Hurricane Ida has resulted in elevated prices along the US Gulf Coast, the agency said.
The Henry Hub spot price rose from $4.01/MMBtu last Wednesday to a weekly high of $4.46/MMBtu two days ago, it said.
