US weekly LNG exports flat

US weekly LNG exports are still at low levels and they were flat compared to the last week as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to destroy demand all over the globe and push down prices.

EIA said in its weekly gas natural gas report that five US terminals dispatched only seven LNG cargoes during the week July 23-July 29.

The total capacity of the LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 25 billion cubic feet, the same as the week before.

Sempra’s Cameron LNG terminal in Louisiana and Dominion’s Cove Point plant in Maryland dispatched two shipments, each, in the week under review.

Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana and Corpus Christi in Texas as well as the Freeport LNG terminal shipped one cargo, each.

Natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants dropped to 3.2 billion cubic feet per day from the 3.7 Bcf/d recorded the week before, EIA data shows.

On the other side, the Henry Hub spot price increased from a low of $1.64/MMBtu last Wednesday to $1.75/MMBtu recorded this Wednesday.
