China’s Hudong-Zhonghua said the second FSRU it is building for Greek shipping company Dynagas has completed both its sea and gas trials.
The 174,000-cbm Transgas Force completed the “two-in-one” trials which lasted for 20 days on Thursday.
Also, the vessel completed its gas trials in just 14 days, marking a new record for Hudong, according to the shipbuilder.
Hudong should deliver this newbuild in November.
The state-owned yard undocked the FSRU on September 30, ahead of the beginning of sea trials for the 294 meters long and 47 meters wide vessel.
It launched this vessel in December last year, the second and the final sister FSRU it is building for Dynagas.
In July this year, Dynagas took delivery of the 174,000-cbm Transgas Power. Brokers previously said this ship serves France’s TotalEnergies.
Both of the FSRUs feature three Wartsila regasification modules. Each regas unit will have a capacity of 250 million standard cubic feet per day. The rated send-out capacity is about 500 million standard cubic feet per day.
The FSRUs have MAN dual-fuel diesel-electric propulsion and GTT’s NO96 containment system.
