DSME awards another LNG tank job to GTT

French LNG containment giant GTT has won an order from South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering to design tanks for four new LNG carriers.

GTT said in a statement it would provide the design and associated engineering services for the tanks of four 174,000-cbm LNG carriers.

Each tank would be fitted with GTT’s NO96 L03 membrane containment system, it said.

DSME would deliver the vessels in 2024 and 2025, GTT said without providing any additional information.

Peter Livanos-led GasLog recently said it had ordered four 174,000-cbm LNG carriers at DSME.

These LNG carriers will join GasLog’s fleet in 2024 and 2025.

Also, all of the LNG carriers will feature ME-GI propulsion. ME-GI is short for M-type, electronically controlled, gas-injection propulsion.
