Below, you can find the five most popular news on LNG Prime, including Bilbao Knutsen’s collision in Spain, the upcoming launch of Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass facility, as well as the giant Qatari shipbuilding program.

1) The 138,000-cbm LNG carrier Bilbao Knutsen, owned by Norway’s shipping firm Knutsen, suffered damage after colliding with another tanker offshore the Port of Huelva in Spain.

2) US energy services firm Baker Hughes has won a contract to supply equipment for the expansion of Woodside’s Pluto LNG plant located on Western Australia’s Burrup Peninsula. Woodside took a final investment decision on the Scarborough but also Pluto LNG Train 2 developments worth about $12 billion.

3) Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu Pass export project in Louisiana continues to progress towards first LNG production while it looks towards full operations in 2022.

4) Indonesian state-owned gas firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), a unit of Pertamina, has started an arbitration process against New York-listed Hoegh LNG Partners over issues related to the Lampung FSRU charter.

5) State-run QatarEnergy has ordered six LNG carriers at two South Korean yards, as part of its massive shipbuilding program revealed earlier this year.
