Cryonorm to build up to 16 new LNG filling stations for Uniper’s Liqvis

Dutch cryogenic tech firm Cryonorm will build up to 16 new LNG filling stations for Uniper’s Liqvis as part of a deal revealed on Thursday.

The two firms said in a statement that Crynorm would construct the skid-mounted LNG filling stations for trucks in Germany and France during the next years.

Cryonorm has already delivered 12 LNG stations for Liqvis between 2017 and 2021.

The new contract “Mercury II” builds on the previous “Mercury I” EPC contract signed in 2018. This deal covered 16 LNG stations.

With the extensions of the contract, Liqvis “is clearly underlining its growth ambitions,” the statement said.

By scaling up the national network of LNG stations, Liqvis looks to cater to the growing demand of especially long-haul transportation.

In addition, the firm expects bio-LNG to become “one of the most important fuels in the near future when it comes to sustainable transportation.”

The two firms did not reveal the price tag of the contract.
