MMA scores Woodside contract extensions

Australia’s MMA Offshore said it has secured contract extensions with compatriot LNG producer Woodside Energy for two of its vessels until March 2022.

These extensions increase the company’s contracted revenue for FY2021 and FY2022 by about A$16 million ($11.6m), it said on Wednesday.

Under the existing contract, two anchor handling tug vessels provide support services for the Woodside-operated production assets in the North West Shelf.

The vessels in question are the Mermaid Sound and the Mermaid Strait.

Under the extension, MMA will replace the Mermaid Sound with the Mermaid Cove effective August 20.

Additionally, the duo extended the firm period of both contracts through to March 2022.
