Spain’s HAM adds two more LNG fueling stations

Spain’s HAM Group is continuing to invest in LNG fueling stations for trucks and has opened two new facilities in Dos Hermanas and Salamanca.

HAM said in a statement on Thursday it has installed a mobile unit in Dos Hermanas, Seville that allows the refueling of LNG to heavy vehicles and trucks.

This unit features a cogeneration system capable of electrically supplying the facility in case of demand, thus taking advantage of the possible losses of subcooled liquid natural gas caused by thermal exchanges in the refueling processes, the firm said.

Besides this mobile station, HAM has also launched a new facility in Salamanca, the firm said in a separate statement.

Designed and built by HAM Criogénica, the station in Salamanca has a 60-cbm tank with a submerged pump for LNG and two refueling points for trucks and heavy vehicles.

The Barcelona-based firm now has more than 90 LNG and CNG service stations spread across Spain but also on the main European land transport routes.
