US LNG exports flat, Sempra shuts Cameron again

US exported fourteen LNG cargoes in the week ending October 7 with feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants rising to 7.3 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants increased some 0.8 Bcf/d while shipments were flat , EIA said in its weekly natural gas report.

Furthermore, Sempra has again closed its Cameron facility in Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Delta.

This comes just days after the facility sent its first cargo following challenges in restoring power after Hurricane Laura.

As per the LNG shipments, four US terminals dispatched the fourteen cargoes during the week October 1-7. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 52 Bcf, EIA said citing Marine Traffic shipping data.

This compares to fourteen LNG cargoes with the vessels’ capacity of 50 Bcf in the week before.

Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant sent six LNG cargoes in the week under review while its Corpus Christi plant dispatched three cargoes.

Additionally, the Freeport terminal shipped four cargoes while Cameron dispatched one cargo of the fuel.

Compared to the previous week, the Henry Hub spot price rose from $1.63/MMBtu last week to $2.03/MMBtu this Wednesday, EIA said.
