US FSRU player Excelerate Energy confirmed that it has signed a seven-year charter agreement with a unit of Canadian firm Frontera Energy to deploy its FSRU to a new LNG import terminal under development in Colombia. Excellerate also confirmed that it purchased a TFDE LNG carrier to convert it to an FSRU.

Exmar in LNG bunkering move

Belgium’s Exmar has signed a seven-year charter for the 2006-built LNG carrier Simaisma. The vessel will be modified to serve as a floating transshipment unit (FTU) for the LNG bunkering market.

QatarEnergy progresses commissioning of first NFE LNG train

State-owned LNG giant QatarEnergy is progressing with commissioning activities at the first train of the North Field East LNG project in Qatar despite the ongoing Middle East crisis, according to EPC contractor Technip Energies.
