Pavilion appoints head of Atlantic LNG origination

Singapore’s LNG player Pavilion Energy said it had appointed Fernando Herrera as its head of Atlantic LNG origination in Pavilion Energy Madrid, to manage the company’s long-term portfolio.

Temasek’s unit Pavilion said in a social media post on Tuesday that Herrera “brings with him more than 20 years of experience in supply and origination of natural gas and LNG”.

“Having held senior roles in the natural gas and LNG business, he has managed global gas and LNG long term portfolios, including origination of contracts and price reviews, as well as built a track record in leading gas trading and gas commercialization units in several European countries,” the firm said.

During the last two years, Pavilion Energy has signed LNG purchase deals with BPQatarEnergy, and Chevron.

Pavilion receives LNG via Singapore’s first and only import terminal on Jurong Island.

In addition to these deals, Pavilion Energy signed a contract in December last year to supply LNG to China’s Zhejiang Hangjiaxin Clean Energy.

The firm, along with TotalEnergies, will also start using MOL’s LNG bunkering vessel, Brassavola, in Singapore in the first quarter of 2023.
