Natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants hit record high

The US exported twenty-two LNG cargoes in the week ending November 4 while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants reached a record high.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants increased some 1.1 Bcf/d to total 10.1 Bcf/d while shipments were higher for six cargoes, EIA said in its weekly natural gas report.

Five US terminals dispatched the twenty-two shipments during the week October 29-November 4. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 82 Bcf.

This compares to sixteen LNG cargoes with the vessels’ capacity of 58 Bcf in the week before.

Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant sent nine cargoes in the week under review while its Corpus Christi plant dispatched four.

Additionally, Freeport dispatched four cargoes of the fuel while the Cameron terminal shipped three cargoes.

Cove Point sent two shipments of LNG during the observed week.

Compared to the previous week, the Henry Hub spot price declined from $3.06/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.60/MMBtu two days ago.
