China’s Hudong launches second Dynagas FSRU

China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s Hudong-Zhonghua has launched the second floating storage and a regasification unit for Greek shipping company Dynagas.

Hudong’s Shanghai Jiangnan-Changxing yard launched the 294 meters long FSRU named Transgas Force on Tuesday.

Dynagas has currently two identical 174,000-cbm FSRUs at Hudong both scheduled for delivery next year.

To remind, the Chinese yard launched the first vessel, Transgas Power, on March 30.

Both of the FSRUs feature three Wartsila regasification modules. Each regas unit will have a capacity of 250 million standard cubic feet per day. The rated send-out capacity is about 500 million standard cubic feet per day.

Furthermore, the FSRUs have a powerful MAN dual-fuel diesel-electric propulsion and GTT’s NO96 containment system.
