Italy’s Blu LNG launches another filling station

Italy’s Blu LNG, a business of Rete Spa, has launched another truck filling station in the country boosting the total to five.

The new LNG and L-CNG station, located in Novara in Italy’s Piedmont, will serve heavy-duty and other vehicles in the region.

CPL Concordia delivered the station in cooperation with Tecnocryo while Total’s Italian unit will supply LNG to the facility, Blu LNG said.

The new facility joins Blu LNG stations in Carmagnola, Poirino, Beinasco, and San Maurizio Canavese, all located in the province of Turin.

The firm plans to launch further LNG stations in northern Italy as the transport sector increasingly opts to use the fuel in order to slash emissions and costs.
