US FSRU player Excelerate Energy confirmed that it has signed a seven-year charter agreement with a unit of Canadian firm Frontera Energy to deploy its FSRU to a new LNG import terminal under development in Colombia. Excellerate also confirmed that it purchased a TFDE LNG carrier to convert it to an FSRU.
Belgium’s Exmar has signed a seven-year charter for the 2006-built LNG carrier Simaisma. The vessel will be modified to serve as a floating transshipment unit (FTU) for the LNG bunkering market.
