US engineering firm NV5 Global said it had won a contract worth more than $60 million from a “prominent Eastern US utility” to provide engineering, procurement, and installation of an LNG facility upgrade.
The project involves the replacement and upgrade of existing LNG process systems to improve the safety, reliability, and overall capabilities of the facility, NV5 said in a statement on Tuesday.
NV5 said the renovation would also increase the system’s liquefication capacity to assist in natural gas storage and availability during times of peak demand.
Furthermore, NV5 expects to complete the three-year project in 2025, while engineering design of the new process systems is already underway.
NV5 did not provide additional information regarding the contract.
Following a $39 million deal in January and a $25 million contract in May, this marks the third LNG contract the company revealed this year.
Last year, NV5 secured three contracts for LNG infrastructure.
