Peru LNG shipped four cargoes to UK in April

Peru LNG’s 4.45 mtpa liquefaction plant at Pampa Melchorita has shipped four cargoes to the UK and two to South Korea in April, according to state-owned Perupetro.

The six April cargoes totaled about 437,216 tonnes and compare to three cargoes in April 2021, or 207,983 tonnes, the data shows.

LNG exports from the plant were higher as well when compared to 344,633 tonnes and five cargoes in the prior month.

In total, the facility sent 668 LNG cargoes since 2010, Perupetro’s data shows.

US-based Hunt Oil holds a 50 percent operating stake in the LNG plant, while SK and Marubeni have 20 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

LNG giant Shell also holds a 20 percent stake and takes all the volumes produced at the facility.
