The agency said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, the total capacity of these 26 LNG vessels is 98 Bcf.
This compares to 26 shipments and 99 Bcf in the week ending August 21.
Natural gas deliveries to US terminals
Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals decreased 0.2 Bcf/d from last week to 12.7 Bcf/d, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana increased by 1.9 percent (0.2 Bcf/d) to 7.7 Bcf/d, while natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Texas decreased 8.9 percent (0.4 Bcf/d) to 4 Bcf/d.
Natural gas deliveries on Gulf South Pipeline to Freeport LNG fell to nearly zero on Wednesday from 1.4 Bcf/d Tuesday, the agency said.
Freeport LNG said on Wednesday it was working to resume operations after a fire safety suppression system in the control room of the pretreatment facility unexpectedly activated during routine maintenance.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals outside the Gulf Coast were essentially unchanged at 1 Bcf/d, the agency said.
During the week under review, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped eight LNG cargoes and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent four shipments.
Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal shipped five cargoes and the Freeport LNG terminal shipped four cargoes during the week under review.
Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu Pass facility and the Elba Island terminal each sent two shipments, the Cove Point facility sent one cargo.
Henry Hub down
This report week, the Henry Hub spot price fell 23 cents from $2.12 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $1.89/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The agency said the September 2024 NYMEX contract expired on Wednesday at $1.930/MMBtu, down 25 cents from last Wednesday.
Also, the October 2024 NYMEX contract price decreased to $2.097/MMBtu, down 22 cents from last Wednesday to this Wednesday.
The price of the 12-month strip averaging October 2024 through September 2025 futures contracts declined 11 cents to $2.957/MMBtu, the agency said.
TTF averaged $12.32/MMBtu
The agency said that international natural gas futures were mixed this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that weekly average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia were unchanged this week at $13.90/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Dutch TTF decreased 28 cents to a weekly average of $12.32/MMBtu.
In the same week last year (week ending August 30, 2023), the prices were $13.33/MMBtu in East Asia and $11.22/MMBtu at TTF, the agency said.
