EIA said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, that the total capacity of these 28 LNG vessels is 105 Bcf.
This compares to 25 shipments and 94 Bcf in the week ending June 4.
Natural gas deliveries flat
According to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights, average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals stood at 14.4 Bcf/d this week, essentially unchanged from last week.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana decreased 2.4 percent (0.2 Bcf/d) to 8.6 Bcf/d, and natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Texas increased 3.1 percent (0.1 Bcf/d), averaging 4.6 Bcf/d.
EIA said natural gas deliveries to terminals outside the Gulf Coast remained essentially unchanged at 1.2 Bcf/d this week.
During the week under review, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped six LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent five shipments.
Moreover, the Freeport LNG terminal sent five cargoes, Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines terminal sent four cargoes and its Calcasieu Pass facility shipped three cargoes.
Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal also sent three cargoes, and the Cove Point terminal and the Elba Island facility each sent one cargo during the week under review.
It is worth noting that Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG export facility in Louisiana, the largest LNG export terminal in the United States, is currently undergoing planned maintenance.
Henry Hub down
EIA reported that the Henry Hub spot price decreased by 8 cents from $2.82 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.74/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The price of the July 2025 NYMEX contract decreased 21 cents, from $3.716/MMBtu last Wednesday to $3.507/MMBtu this Wendesday.
EIA said the price of the 12-month strip averaging July 2025 through June 2026 futures contracts declined 13 cents to $4.062/MMBtu.
TTF averaged $11.99/MMBtu
The agency said that international natural gas futures increased this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia increased 14 cents to a weekly average of $12.43/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Title Transfer Facility (TTF) in the Netherlands increased 24 cents to a weekly average of $11.99/MMBtu.
In the same week last year (week ending June 12, 2024), the prices were $11.99/MMBtu in East Asia and $10.81/MMBtu at TTF, EIA said.
