Alan Heng becomes new CEO of Singapore’s Pavilion Energy

Singapore’s LNG player Pavilion Energy, a unit of Temasek, said it has appointed Alan Heng as group chief executive officer, effective from April 1.

Heng is currently serving as interim group chief executive officer of the company, a position he has held since August 26, 2021.

He joined Pavilion Energy in 2013 and he has over 34 years of experience in the energy industry, including having held various management positions in ExxonMobil.

“Alan has been a steady partner in Pavilion Energy’s business since the company’s inception,” Pavilion Energy chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, said.

“The board is confident that Alan, together with the rest of the leadership, will ensure strong progress towards achieving our vision as Singapore’s global energy merchant,” he said.

During the last two years, Pavilion Energy has signed LNG purchase deals with BP, QatarEnergy, and Chevron.

The firm receives LNG via Singapore’s first and only import terminal on Jurong Island.

In addition to these import deals, Pavilion Energy also signed a contract in December last year to supply LNG to China’s Zhejiang Hangjiaxin Clean Energy.
