Denmark’s Navigare takes delivery of first LNG carrier

Danish investment firm Navigare Capital Partners has taken delivery of its first LNG carrier from South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries.

The 174,000-cbm Marvel Swan goes on charter to Japan’s trading house Mitsui & Co, Hamburg-based Pronav, the vessels’ manager, said on Thursday.

Moreover, the 293 meters long vessel will ship Mitsui’s offtake volumes from Sempra’s Cameron LNG plant in Louisiana, the firm said.

Pronav, part of the Schulte Group, said the newbuild makes part of a series of eight LNG carriers chartered by Mitsui for the offtake volumes.
