EPS wraps up its 200th LNG bunkering operation

Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping has completed its 200th ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation, as the company’s fleet of LNG-fueled vessels continues to expand.

The firm said in a social media post on Tuesday that the milestone LNG bunkering operation took place in Singapore.

EPS said that during the operation its managed 7,200 ceu LNG dual-fuel PCTC, CMA CGM Daytona, received 930 cbm of LNG from the 12,000-cbm bunkering vessel, Brassavola, owned by MOL and chartered by Pavilion Energy.

This is the first bunkering operation for the 2024-built LNG-powered PCTC which serves French shipping giant CMA CGM under a charter deal.

EPS completed its first LNG bunkering operation in November 2020, the 50th operation in September 2022, the 100th operation in June 2023, and the 150th operation earlier this year.

“To date, EPS has received 1,159,536 cubic meters of LNG – a significant milestone since our first bunkering operations in 2020,” it said.

The firm has a large fleet of LNG-powered vessels, including containerships, tankers, bulkers, and pure car and truck carriers.

According to its website, EPS has 74 dual-fuel vessels in its fleet of 250 managed vessels.

Earlier this year, EPS booked two LNG dual-fuel LR2 oil tankers in China.
